Today, we had a very busy schedule. We started the day by visiting the newly built Zaryadye Park with an overhanging bridge. From the bridge, we had a great view of the Kremlin. There is a mascot figure (Zabivaka) of Russia World Cup 2018 in the park and we all took photos to indicate that we were there around the world cup time. Zabivaka means “the one who scores” in Russian, a very suitable name for this wolf who radiates fun, charm and confidence.

Then, we walked across the park to the St. Basil’s Cathedral. It is the icon of Moscow whenever you try to see photo shots of Moscow. We visited the inside of the cathedral first and then had free time to take more photos from the outside.

After the St. Basil’s Cathedral, we walked across the Red Square. The name of Red Square originates neither from the pigment of the surrounding bricks nor from the link between the color red and communism. Rather, the name came about because the Russian word красная (krasnaya), which means both "red" and “beautiful”.

When we got to the Kremlin entrance, we were told that Russia president Putin was in the Kremlin unexpectedly, so we have to wait for another 45 minutes or more. Judging from the time and the crowd, we just had to stand in line and wait. After we got in, we were able to see Presidential Executive Office Building, Assumption Cathedral, Annunciation Cathedral, Tsar Bell, Ivan the Great Bell Tower and Tsar Cannon.

One observation, the Kremlin is much easier and free to visit then other palaces or presidential offices in other countries. In comparing with the White House, it looks like Kremlin is more approachable than the White House.
Our local guide took us to a supermarket to witness the normal life of Russian. This particular one must be a high end one with a lot of artistic decorations. And the supplies were plenty. Some of us purchased Russian chocolates with very good price.
Then, our local guide took us to experience Moscow's subway. Russian did a lot of art works in their subway stations and it was interesting.

We had dinner at Uzbekistan Restaurant. The decoration is very impressive of Eastern European style and they served us with their famous Cheburek with Lamb and traditional Uzbek bread. We had a great time enjoying the food and the local beer.
